One more week and you guys get well needed break. Seems like this year we came out running and haven't slowed down. I like that but sometime you need to rest and regroup. Kind of like what we have been talking about in class, Aerobic and anaerobic. One is based on short burst, using up energy quickly. And the other is using energy up over a longer period of time. I will be posting the review sheet up here shortly. I'm still trying to get the hang of this website but I like it.
Monday- Knowing the differences between Aerobic and Anaerobic. What workouts separate the two and why are they important. Our workout out is upperbody. Changing sets to 4 and reps to 6. That means you must lift more weight. We are getting ready to hit the most important time of that lifting period. We don't want to plateau, a word that was learned earlier this year.
Tuesday- Our learning focus and EQ will be on how much you understand the different lifts and how they relate to specific muscles. Our workout will be lower body. Squats and Power Cleans at 4x6, SLDL and Calf Raises. We will to more agility work the up coming weeks.
Wednesday- IO will have a study guide for you guys on this day. Conclusion to muscles and Intro to weight training. We stretched out this unit to make sure you guys are not confused the rest of the way. Without this information one can be lost all semester. If we have time we will Do our second day upper body. Incline, Bicep Curls, Upright rows, and Triceps Pulls.
Thursday- We will conduct a lifting test. We want to check and see where you have progressed in class. We also want to take that information and personalize you workout plan. Once that is in place the class will become more independent. You will record scores differently and weekly lifts on a new system. We will work on Bench, Squats, Power CLeans, and DL.
Friday- We will give the quiz. You guys know the information. We go over and review everyday at the beginning and end of class. When we finish that we will finish the rest of the Lifting part.
Focus is important in class. We have no injuries but some people have slacked off in other areas. Your grade will suffer if you do not dress out or participate. Once you hit 5 non on wither I call home and action is taken after. When you lift, you guys are awesome. Its the minor details that determine if you are successful or not. Talking is the biggest problem. Its okay to do when your working out but never when your instructor is giving details. Other than that you guys are great.
Have a great week and then weekend.
