This week we will be using ubersense. You guys have been using it now we need to put into play. You and your group will take the videos and assess each other. Each day will be a new lift that we will focus on. I will post a tutorial based on it during this time.

Tuesday- Count Day for all classes and homeroom- We will work on the muscle chart at the beginning of class. I will post that online in a few weeks. We will do our warm-ups on the track and regular workout. We have bench press Monday on Tuesday this week for obvious reasons. Upper body workout 1.

Wednesday- Verbal review of the muscle chart. Focusing on what you have learned so far. Lower body workout 2. Squats, power cleans, SLDL, and cool down. 

Thursday will be group assignment  day. With your own equipment you will film each other lifting. You must point out the major muscle that are being worked and what they are doing(Flex). We will be doing upper body day 2. Incline Bench, Upright rows, Bicep Curls, Tricep Pulls. 

Friday- Take a "what you know" on the chart. See where you are. And yes this is a grade, please don't ask. We will grade them in class by peers and review. After that we will get our lift on with workout 2 lower body. Squats, Hang Cleans, Calf Raises. 

Stick with the workouts, I have seen major change already. You guys should be getting to the point of self motivation. We will change thing ups next week before you guys starting feeling a plateau effect. That will be a word for next week. See you guys in the weight room.

Good job with the workout cards last week. We will continue to that so you don't have to leave your group every time you forget the reps or sets of a lift. This also had the EQ and daily focus on it. Do not forget to answer those questions before it is turned in at the end of class. That is very important. Everything we go over and review will be a part of our assessment. 
Monday we need to focus on isometric work. During our upper body lifts lets make sure we know when this takes place during our lifts and stress that point.  It will be week 8 upper 1
Tuesday we will put it all together and your groups will show me a full lift and when each movement takes place. You must use the correct verbiage and form to get it right. Your daily workout will be Lower week 8 day 1.
Wednesday is a review day we will spend some of it reviewing and the other part lifting. I will try and have the packet posted on this blog by then so you can have Electronic copy too. Upper body 2 week8.
Thursday- Review some more. Lower Body 
Friday - Take the assessment and make an A on it. Make sure your ready and bring a pencil with you. With any time left we will do auxiliary workouts. 
Hopefully you have a better understanding of the weight room. We have done safety, intro now we want to finish up and move on to the more personal side of lifting weights. Nutrition, Steroids, how it affects you. So get ready and make sure you have your clothes for class. Plus you do not get your points if you don't loft or show up to class. SO SHOW UP AND BE PREPARED TO LIFT!

Concentric, Eccentric and Isometric.

By the end of this week you should have those words down to a T. We will be finishing up most of the lifts and records part of class this week. It is important to know when a lift works, rest, or resets. I will have study guide ready for you guys this week before we take an assessment to se where you are. Pay attention when any coach is trying to correct what you are doing. We will use words like this to make sure vocabulary is being used.
