Please Be ready. There is little time before the next distribution of reports. Not dressing out has been the biggest factors in negative grades. Also the grading period for dress out and participation has changed. We are in our 12th week and must now be stricter. If you choose not to dress out or participate twice in a week you are given a 0 for the week. You should know by now the expectations. I have relayed this in class and was apart of the intro.

Very Busy week around the school. You guys have a lot od decisions to make as to the upcoming semester. If there is any way you would like to advance yourself in weight training you need to put in the effort and time so we can recommend you. We will not advance anybody who does not want to be in or put in the work.
That said this week you will be finishing out your Scheduling for next school year. We will begin on Wednesday so start thinking about what you would like to do next year. We as teachers don't want to just put you in a class so be smart when it comes to your electives. Also this wee we will be doing our physical test. Some classes will be doing a weight multi rep max, and others will be doing a 1 rep max. In this order is how we will do it. Monday- Bench Tuesday- Squats wed and thurs- Power Clean dead lift. Then on Friday we will do an obstacle course set up by coach and I. We will focus on the aerobic standard more that day. Hope you guys are rested and ready to go Coach Jenkins Sorry about Friday. I didn't plan on getting sick. We will postpone our little test until Tuesday. I hope that give you time to catch up on everything else you need. Monday we will review every thing that will be on the test to insure that you have all the information that you need to pass it with flying colors.
Monday we will begin a different type of lifting process we want to starts muscle focusing. Each day we will pick a few muscles to focus on and work on them aggressively. Monday we work in lightly and do the arms, Shoulder and chest. Ill add a few back exercises so you can get acclimated to the workout. I hope you enjoy this part so it can keep you excited about lifting weights. Stay tuned I will have more about this week later. I also want to let you know that grades are slipping because of dress outs. It will become an issues at the end if you don't deal with it now. Please I want all A's and this part is keeping that dream murky. See you guys Monday. We've almost made it to the mid way point. We missed quite a few days so we need to catch up and get things right. Our focus will be finifhing our current max test. Taking those number and making a personalize workout with those numbers. We also want to see what change has taken place. Almost everybody has made a huge increase in their weights.
This weeks focus will be back on muscles and their lifts. Everyday this week will review our muscle charts and review lifts. We will also go back to where we were before the snow came. You guys were doing great with what muscles to what lift but we need to get back to that. We will study all week and make sure were ready for the test Friday Come dressed out. Make sure you use your progress report for motivation and be ready to lift. We will push back our weekly workout one day due to the fact the we need to make up the squats lift. See youi guys in class. So far so good! I have seen a great deal of enthusiasm in the class so far. Still need to light a fire in a few. Remember you get what you put into your workout. Coaches cant stand over your shoulder the whole time.
We will continue with a progressive load workout. I will have the workout given to you on a card. Work at your own pace. The most important part is the first compound lift. The workout will follow the same pattern to help build the muscles. Next week we will look at techniques and procedure. Friday we will try and do a aerobic activity that involves things the deal with muscle development. I have also almost finished grading the first assessment. So far as a group you guys have done a good job. Listening and paying attention shows with these scores. This assessment was about what you have leaned in the weight room so far. And as a group you have done one of the best jobs. Don't forget to dress out. Its starting to add up and you cant get those points back. And be ready for bench press Monday. Later this week I will post percentages of the grade form the test. This week we went to get started on your individual workout plan. On Tuesday we and Wednesday and Thursday we will max out on certain lifts. After that I will develop your first workout plan done for each individual. So be ready and it is for a grade. We will follow with a modified workout aftwards. Tuesday will be bench, Wednesday squats, Thursday power cleans andfridqy make ups. We will go in the regular order even tough it is Tuesday. Upper, lower, upper, lower.
Don't forget to dress out. Don't make that the rgovernment aeon your grad isn't as high as it can be. See you guys the. And get ready for your workouts! Start of anew semester. We have gone over expectations and standards for the class. Please be aware of what is going on and specifics for each day. During this week I will be posting everything I have out last week. This will be a quick refrenc for all of that material. Monday we will do our first workout. Upper body on Monday and Wednesday. Tuesday and Thursday will be lower body. Friday we will review and do our first set of physical test. Always dress out and be ready to lift. Remember you choose this class and there are no excuses!
Coach Jenkins Sorry For some of the issues. I should have it fixed here soon. Also I will have the study guide posted up here in the next 24 hours if it lets me. Still come dressed out, still come ready to workout, and still be ready to do some mental and written work. Don't waste the time you have it might be all that you get.
Monday- Upper body check off. I am checking form, tech, and other things to see that you have learned proper lofts during your time. It will count as test grade. Tuesday we will focus on the study guide. Bring a pencil or pen. Wednesday lower body lift check. And final the last two. I will be posting during the week so keep in touch. |
